Welcome to the CEOM Meeting 2026 in Ljubljana
We are delighted to invite you to the next meeting of the Council of European Medical Orders (CEOM), which will take place in the vibrant city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in March 2026. This gathering will bring together representatives of medical chambers, regulatory authorities, and professional organisations from across Europe to exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration, and shape common positions on the key issues facing the medical profession today.
At a time of rapid change in healthcare systems and medical practice, CEOM continues to play a vital role in safeguarding ethical standards, promoting high-quality medical care, and defending the independence and integrity of the medical profession. The Ljubljana meeting will provide a unique opportunity to discuss pressing topics such as professional regulation, continuous medical education and professional development, medical ethics and deontology, digital transformation in healthcare, and the evolving role of medical self-governance in a changing societal context.
Hosted by the Medical Chamber of Slovenia, the meeting will also offer participants the chance to explore Ljubljana’s rich cultural heritage and experience the city’s welcoming atmosphere. Situated at the crossroads of Central Europe, Ljubljana combines a dynamic intellectual environment with a tradition of medical excellence, making it an ideal setting for constructive dialogue and forward-looking collaboration.
We warmly invite all CEOM members and partners to join us in Ljubljana for an engaging and inspiring meeting. Together, we will reaffirm our shared values, strengthen our collective voice, and continue to work towards a future in which doctors across Europe can provide the highest quality care for their patients and society.
